## 生長環境與習性

僅分佈於馬達加斯加西南部的托利亞拉省，該物種生長在海平面至499公尺海拔之間。主要生長在石灰岩的亞乾燥灌木叢中，尤其是在Tsimanampetsotsa週邊

## 型態特徵

織冠漆樹 Operculicarya hyphaenoides 是一種生長緩慢冬季落葉灌木或小型低枝樹形植物，具有多個粗壯且扭曲的主幹或小樹，通常生長到1.5米高，偶爾可達3米。

樹幹的樹皮不規則，表面粗糙且結節狀。每棵樹幹上有一個擴展的多分枝樹冠。側枝較短（即短枝）。每個分枝上有3-5片葉子（短枝上），在乾旱時落葉，偶數羽狀複葉，具有11-20對小葉（羽片），呈中到深橄欖綠色，所有部分均為密毛。葉軸幾乎不或寬翼狀。

花非常小，暗紅色，單生或成少數花束。果實下垂，有著約2公分的柄，呈現壓扁的球狀。

* 織冠漆樹最引人注目的特徵是其獨特的葉片，同時擁有捲葉、毛葉、泡葉的特徵。
* 其身形與象足漆樹有些相似，但葉片形態有明顯差異。
* 在市場上有極高的辨識度。
* 織冠漆樹是漆樹科中相對稀有的品種，因此在市場上的貨源較為稀缺。
* 由於稀有性，織冠漆樹在多肉植物愛好者中備受珍視，價格也相對較高。

## 養護方式

* **光照：**
  * 織冠漆樹喜歡充足的陽光，全日照的環境有助於其健康生長。
  * 在室內種植時，若光線不足，建議搭配植物燈。
* **澆水：**
  * 如同多數塊根植物，織冠漆樹的澆水需要特別注意。
  * 在有葉片生長時，需要定期澆水，因為它是一種樹木。
  * 室內種植需保持略為乾燥，以防止根部腐爛。
  * 冬季休眠期需要減少澆水。
* **配土：**
  * 喜歡疏鬆、沙質的土壤，至少含有50%的無機物，並且需要良好的排水性。

## 保護狀況

2015年被評估為IUCN瀕危物種紅色名錄。\
列入《瀕危野生動植物種國際貿易公約附錄Ⅰ、附錄Ⅱ及附錄Ⅲ》（CITES）2019年版附錄Ⅱ。
